Kyushu University “100 Years History” Exhibition

A special exhibition was held by the Kyushu University’s School of Engineering from March 28 to May 31 in celebration of its achievement over the past 100 years. Kyushu University is a public university located in Fukuoka, Kyushu. Founded in 1911, Kyushu University is the fourth oldest university in Japan and the largest public university in Kyushu.

The exhibition featured the School of Engineering’s accomplishment and history over 100 years, with displays of rare historical documents such as the development of the unmanned spacecraft Hayabusa, as well as its alumnus and astronaut Koichi Wakata. The IDEA OSG 1 also took part in the special celebration as the microsatellite was created based on a concept developed by Professor Toshiya Hanada and his team of students at Kyushu University.
